Use of Foundation Funds/Submitting Grants
Income generated from the general endowment fund is used for religious, charitable, and educational purposes which support the ministries of St. Luke's Lutheran Church not included in the church's annual budget, operating capital budget, or building fund.
In addition to the general endowment fund, St. Luke’s Foundation also oversees the P.H.A.S.E (Pete and Holly Anfinsen Social Enrichment) Fund. The P.H.A.S.E. Fund, established in 2006, is a dedicated account which provides funds to programs that encourage middle and senior high school-aged youth of St. Luke’s to strengthen their faith and develop friendships and social activities.
The pastor, Executive Committee, Council or congregation members can request funds from the Foundation for projects/activities appropriate to the guidelines explained above. The Request for Funds Application (with supporting documentation and approval from a council representative) can be submitted to the Foundation for consideration.
