Remembering 9/11 after 20 Years

9/7/2021

20 years remembering 911
St. Luke's joining the
Community Bell Ringing
For the 9/11 Ceremony Saturday, Sept. 11, you are invited to join Diane LaFontaine and Deb Kibby in bell ringing according to the schedule set. The goal of City of Bells is to surround the metro community and beyond in bell ringing at the times listed below in coordination with the bell ringing by The Liberty Bell and a bell from the Minnesota Military Museum on the steps of the State Capitol.

Please arrive early enough to get set up to be ready to ring the moment that a plane was used in a 9/11 attack:
  • From 7:46 a.m. to 7:47 a.m. (honoring Flight 11)
  • From 8:03 a.m. to 8:04 a.m. (honoring Flight 175)
  • From 8:37 a.m. to8:38 a.m. (honoring Flight 77)
  • From 9:03 a.m. to 9:04 a.m. (honoring Flight 93)

May All of us Remember
May all of us remember with love and compassion this day.
May we grieve with those who still mourn,
And share memories with those who cannot forget.
May we draw strength from those who bravely responded,
And gave their lives to save others.
May we stand with strangers who became neighbors that day,
And remember their generosity and hospitality.
Above all God may we remember your faithfulness
And learn to trust in your unfailing love.
