Rob Norris-Weber
Pastor
rob@stlukesbloomington.org
Child of God, Husband, Father, Pastor, Friend, and Neighbor.
I grew up in the church, but did not get caught by the Spirit until I attended Bible Camp. Went to camp as a camper, camp staff member, and as a church staff member for 39 consecutive summers. Previously I served at Bethlehem Lutheran of the Twin Cities for 26 years in a variety of roles, Youth Minister, Intern Pastor, Youth Pastor, and Lead Pastor for Spirit Garage, an outreach worship ministry of Bethlehem. All of these roles have helped shape and mold me into the pastor I am today. Looking forward to continuing to learn and grow in the years ahead here at St. Luke’s.
A number of Bible passages speak to me. (My paraphrases)
Genesis 12:1-3 = We are Blessed to be a Blessing!
Isaiah 43 = God knows us by name, for we are precious, honored and loved.
Psalm 139 = Where can we flee from God's Spirit? If I go up to the heavens you are there. If I go down to Sheol even there you will find me.
John 10:10 = Jesus declared, "The thief comes to kill, steal, and destroy, but I came that you may have life in abundance."
Acts 1:8 = Jesus said, "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” - - Note Jesus called us to be "Witnesses" not the judge or the jury!
Matthew 12:30 = It comes down to simply this, Love God and all people.
Some of my outside activities include: Serving on the Thrivent Credit Union Board of Directors. Staying active: I've run 13 marathons, play basketball, Golf, Sail Lake Superior around the Apostle Islands, and coach my sons' soccer, basketball and baseball teams. Most of all I love being a dad and husband. Married to Nancy, a preschool teacher in Bloomington. We have two sons, Ethan is in college and Eli is in high school.
Stephanie Luedtke
Deacon
stephaniel@stlukesbloomington.org
Stephanie Luedtke started at St. Luke's in September, 2017, and is an educator, minister, and artist of sorts. She often combines the three in creative ways, weaving education and arts through her ministry or ministry into arts education. As a certified music educator, she has taught students in pre-school to those in retirement communities, and all ages in between, through the topics of music history and appreciation, vocal music, and small and large group instrumental instruction. Stephanie is also a rostered Deacon in the ELCA, with a Master’s Degree in Worship Arts, and has enjoyed helping people of all ages find meaningful ways to worship, learn, and to be in faithful community together. Stephanie uses her gifts here at St. Luke's with Faith Formation and Worship & Music, including leading Children's Choir and the Jubilee Worship Team.
Through work as a music teacher in school and private settings, ministry work in churches and at the synod level, and through independent work as a consultant and curriculum writer, Stephanie has always lived out her passions, and worked to help others discover theirs. She is a wife to Eric and mother to Olivia and Elena, and enjoys biking, gardening, and drinking good wine.
