Greg Lowell Anderson
Worship Leader
Greg was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
As a young child he was interested in music and by the age of two started a few music lessons of which he decided he would do better learning on his own by ear. By the age of 6 he played for his cousins wedding. He was active in school band, and played the trumpet and was even featured in an article of the Minneapolis Tribune at that time.
He has performed in Las Vegas and Tahoe. He has performed with Bobby Vee, the Shirelles, Tommy Roe, and Johnny Tillotson. He performs locally: St.Judes Hospital, Roseville and Edina Pizza venues and Mancini’s.
Since 1976 he has shared his music ministry at many Lutheran Churches. He shares about his relationship with God and his influence in his life. He met his wife, Diane who drove him to several churches along with meeting many new friends on this journey. Diane and he were married in 1979 at her church Pelican Rapids with many of their new friends from this ministry attending.
Greg earned his small business degree at Detroit Lakes Tech College. Later earned his Radio and TV Broadcasting Degree at Brown Institute. For the last 30 years he has worked for the Air Force Recruiting Offices in the Metro area.
Diane and Greg have two sons, Joshua and Justin and a daughter in law, Amy Jo, (Justins wife). They are their pride and joy.
Greg led the Contemporary Service at Woodlake Lutheran in Richfield for 25 years. He directed and wrote music for the Spirit Singers choral group. He has been playing with St. Luke’s Jubilee Worship team since ?????. In February of 2016 he became a member of St. Luke’s. In 2022 he became the Music Leader.
It has always been my prayer that God will give me the wisdom to do all things for his greater good and glory.
