Pre-K to 5th Grade

Sunday Morning Opportunities  
  • Prayground invites the littlest among us to experience worship upfront in a space designed especially for them. Soft toys, books, and more are available. 
  • Nursery is available for parents and children if a child needs a little more wiggle room. **currently not available**
  • Activity Bags filled with crayons, coloring pages, and books are available in the Narthex and outside the door by the pulpit. Children are invited to keep busy seated in the pew.
  • Children’s Time join at the front of the sanctuary for a Children's Message.
  • ​Children’s Church is after the Children's Message, where toddlers to fifth graders leave the sanctuary during the Word part of the worship (Readings, Message, Creed, and Prayers) to worship in an active and engaging way. We meet around a child-sized altar, and our worship is led by the children, who serve as acolytes, crucifers, and readers, with assistance from a teacher. Our Bible story is brought to life with a creative activity or game. Children return during Sharing the Peace.​

​Wednesday Night Live (WNL)  **Resumes September 22, 2021**
  • Wednesday Night Live activities are for children in Kindergarten - grade 5, and are held on Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:00 PM. Children participate in choir and educational activities each week. Educational programming reinforces Sunday's Bible stories, and helps kids go deeper in learning about themselves and God. Children's choirs participate throughout the year, offering music in worship, and each spring, they share their talents and perform a musical.
  • WNL Dinner (optional) is at 5:30 PM and the cost is $3/meal.  

Vacation Bible School (VBS) and Bible Camp

The best part of the summer!
  • VBS is filled with fun and Bible learning for children 3 years old (potty trained) through grade 5.  Students from grade 6 through high school can volunteer as assistants. VBS runs Monday-Thursday, 9 AM - noon. 
  • Camp Wapo in Amery, Wisconsin, offers a week of Bible Camp that is filled with songs, campfires, swimming, crafts, games, and Bible study including a memory verse. St. Luke’s students meet campers from other churches. This fall there was a cabin reunion with kids from different churches meeting up. 2nd Grade through high school can attend.
